TIPS FOR COLOUR BLOCK

InsyaALLAH, in a week's time, we are going to have our dinner.  So,have you all decided what colour block are you going to choose for your dressing code? Can you stand a chance to be a winner for the Prince and Princess of DiBA CITY?  So here, I would like to share some of the tips. Make sure the combination of colours makes you look so impressive and outstanding.

1. You need to be brave and creative to experiment the combination of colour block: bright blue, orange, red and green. 
2. You must know the right combinations or mix-match of colours example pink and purple, black and red, blue and orange etc.

InsyaAllah, our next activity will be DiBA CITY Starry Night that will be held on February 22^nd, 2013 at Grand Sentosa Hotel.  All members are invited to this event and please pay RM30 to your class representative.  To make the dinner more cheerful and colourful, please follow our dressing code “Colour Blocking”.  You might be the one that we are searching for … Prince or Princess of DiBA CITY! OPKIM II

Alhamdulillah, on 18 - 20 January 2013, DiBA CITY had organized a community service activity known as OPKIM II.   "Operasi Khidmat Masyarakat II " (OPKIM II) was held in Kampung Sungai Kuali, Serkat and had been attended by 38 students of Diploma in Banking semester 3,4 and 6.

The objectives of this program is to increase our communication skills and strengthen the relationships with the villagers and family.  During this activity, we provided a motivational program for year 6 students of Sekolah Kebangsaan Andek Mori, Serkat.where we gave them a free tuition lesson as a preparation for their coming UPSR.  We also a discussion with the parents.

The program had received attention from the newspaper Utusan and was printed in one of its column - Education in Campus. Hopefully DiBA CITY will continuously  active and make UiTMJB be known by the local community in Johor or other countries.

Meet Our 1st DiBA CITY's Pesident

Today  is very meaningful for all of us as the  EXCO members of Diba CITY when we had a chance to meet the First President of Diba CITY, NorHafizi Bin Mohd Yusoff.  He was the 2nd Batch student of Diploma in Banking, UiTMJB and had graduated 2 years ago. He came to visit the DiBA City Advisor, Prof. Madya Hajjah Suriaty Yusoff in her office.  

PM Hajjah Suriaty took the opportunity to introduce him to us.  We were very grateful meeting him and as the ex-President of DiBA CITY, he shared his experiences in handling events and activities for the association.   He shared his experience on how the members had implemented the activities  during the beginning of the establishment of DiBA CITY.  The integrity of the association lies in the cooperation given by members, closeness and the strength of friendship among us. All members need to give their support and commitment to ensure that each program can be run successfully. He also gave us advices to do the best for our association. InsyaAllah, we will try to implement his suggestions and hopefully all members of DiBA CITY get the benefits from the activities.

Seminar - Risk Management in Business (Photos)

Seminar - Risk Management in Business

On 4 January 2013, a seminar on Risk Management in Business was held at DK1, Universiti Teknologi Mara Kampus Johor Bahru.                 

All students who are taking these courses - INS200, INS312  ( DIB Part 6) , FIN242 (DIB Part 4) attended this seminar.  Puan Suhana Binti Mohamed who is currently teaching these courses initiated this seminar for her students.  The objective of this seminar is to provide more information about risk management in business that happens in the real world.

The speaker for this seminar, Mr. Khairul Rizal Bin Muhammad Arshad who is a Business Manager of Takaful Bhd.(Johor Bahru Branch) had shared his knowledge and experiences on this topic.

Hopefully, all students who had attended this seminar gained more knowledge and have the right idea of risk management that happens in the real world.

                   

HISTORY OF US

DiBA CITY of UiTM Johor Bahru Campus was the first association initiated for students by Professor Madya Hajjah Suriaty Binti Yusoff who was then appointed as the first Advisor for this association.There were only 70 members at that time. Norhafizi Bin Mohd Yusof was the first President elected by the students. Currently, there are 143 members consisting of Part 3, 4 & 6 who are taking Diploma in Banking.
